About Nairobi Floor Experts
We are a Nairobi flooring contractor. Epoxy, terrazzo, tile, SPC, laminate, timber and carpet : laid, restored and repaired. Nairobi Floor Experts is simply the Swahili for floor, which felt more honest than inventing something.
How we work
- We test the slab for moisture and check levels before quoting, not after laying.
- Material and labour are shown as separate lines, because Kenyan flooring quotes conflate them constantly.
- Subfloor preparation, underlay, skirting and thresholds are itemised rather than buried. They are 10 to 20 percent of a real budget.
- We grind rather than acid etch before epoxy, and we say so because the difference is invisible on handover day.
- Staged payments with an M-Pesa receipt at each stage.
What we will tell you
If the floor you already have is worth restoring, we will say so, and on an older Nairobi house it very often is. Sanding parquet at KES 400–700 per square metre beats laying almost anything new, and terrazzo hiding under 1990s tiling is usually the better floor. We would rather do the smaller job and be the people you call next time.
Credentials and the warranty
Registration, insurance cover and the workmanship warranty period are stated in writing on the quotation before any material is ordered. The warranty is also conditional, and we would rather you knew why up front than argued about it later.
Almost every flooring failure traces back to the subfloor, not the floor. If we record a slab as too damp or too far out of level and the client wants us to lay anyway, that goes in writing too, and the warranty on that area does not stand. Any flooring contractor who warrants work over an untested slab is warranting something they cannot control.
