How much damage does lifting the developer's tile cause?

More than people expect. Tile bedded on a thin screed usually takes some of it up, so the substrate needs making good before anything new goes down. We price the repair as part of the job rather than discovering it after the tiles are off.

Do we need a moisture barrier?

On a ground-floor slab near the Kirichwa, almost certainly. We test rather than assume: a slab that reads wet will lift laminate and cup timber, and no surface product prevents it. Upper floors in the same block usually need nothing.

Compact Kileleshwa units look considerably larger with a single floor finish running throughout than with tile in the kitchen, laminate in the living room and something else in the bedroom.

Every threshold is a visual break and a physical trip point. In a small flat, using one material everywhere except the bathroom is usually both cheaper and better looking.
